Riley Michael Brennan, 27, passed away June 8th, 2020. He was born in The Dalles Oregon on August 10th, 1992. He is survived by his significate other Alexsia Rosado, his daughter Charlene Maria Brennan, his mother and Step-father Kelly & Thomas Green, his dad Greg Hicks, siblings, Garrett Brennan, Emily Hicks, and Tommy Green, step-brothers Jacob & Jordan Green, and step-sister Marlayna Hicks, as well as paternal grandparents Jerry & Bonnie Hicks, his uncle Bryan Hicks, and cousins, Morgan & Mattalyn Caldwell. Riley was proceeded in death, by both his maternal grandparents, James & Charlene Caldwell to whom he was very close. Riley grew up in The Dalles Oregon and attended both Chenowith elementary & middle school, and The Dalles High School, where he made many life-long friends. During his early childhood he spent most of his days playing with his siblings, Garrett & Marlyana and his cousins Morgan and Mattalyn at his grandparents’ home in The Dalles Oregon, which though out his life was his favorite place in the world and where he began a lifelong love of fishing. He spent much of his childhood with a pole in his hand casting for whatever was in the water. That love of fishing continued throughout the rest of his life. He kept a pole and fishing gear handy wherever he went. Riley moved to De Soto, Iowa in 2013 and began a full time career in Underground Construction at the age of 21, working first at HD Directional Drilling for 4 years, then on to Precision Underground for the past 3 years where he worked as an operator and locator. He was extremely proud of his abilities on a drill and all the knowledge he had acquired over the years. Riley loved Iowa, but never stopped missing Oregon, +its scenic beauty, and all the great fishing he had experienced there. He had always hoped to return and raise his family there. In 2017 he met his girlfriend and significant other, Alexsia Rosado, and just a little more than a year later, welcomed the love of his life, his daughter, Charlene Maria Brennan. Riley’s greatest joy in life quickly became being a father. He was extremely hands on and loved playing with Charlene as much as he could. They played hide n seek, peek-a-boo all the time, along with lots of other fun things Riley would often come up with. Riley would walk in the room and Charlene would run to him immediately with a huge smile and a laugh and he could never put her down or leave again. She always wanted to be with her daddy. Riley will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of life is being held July 26th, 2020 at 3:00p at Barnes’ Place in Adel IA.
