Robert Dale Farrow

Bob Farrow passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 17 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Oakland Cemetery in De Soto. Friends may call after 2:00PM Monday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Bob was born in Clear Lake, Iowa to Sam and Irene Farrow on June 16, 1925. His family moved to Adel during his junior year of high school, where he met Bev. They were married on May 28, 1946. Bob worked for Speck Brown building houses in Adel until 1962, when he started working at Waukee Coop. He was an active employee for 28 years before retiring to his residence in Norwalk. Bob is survived by his 7 children: Al (Linda), Andy (Leslie), Greg, Perry, Tony, Diane (Lyle) Johnson, and Bradley; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Peterson; and brothers, Jay and “Shrimp”.
