Robert was born April 26, 1930 in Polk County, Iowa, the son of Dale and Edith (Roberts) Niblo. He was a 1948 graduate of the Winterset High School. His marriage to Betty Davis took place on August 20, 1950 at the West Star Methodist Church in Douglas Township. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert was a farmer all of his life. He was a member of the American Legion and served on the board for the Pork Producers and Farm Bureau. Robert also served as an elder in the Presbyterian Churches of Pitzer and Earlham and is a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset. Robert is survived by his wife, Betty of Winterset; two sons, Steven Niblo and wife, Linda of Winterset and Mark Niblo, and wife, Vicki of Blue Springs, Missouri; one brother, Marion Niblo; 4 grandchildren, Scott Niblo and Laurie Allen and Ben and Bethany Niblo; 5 great grandchildren, Logan , Trey and Travis Allen and Dylan and Luke Niblo. Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday where family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. April 27, 2007 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset, Iowa. Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday April 28, 2007 at the First United Presbyterian Church, Winterset. Memorial: Memorials may be directed to the First United Presbyterian Church of Winterset.
