Robert Hethcot

Robert "Hector" Paul Hethcot, son of Roger Albert Hethcot and Mary Alice Taylor Hethcot was born August 13, 1952 in Perry, Iowa and died February 25, 2005 at his home in Perry, Iowa at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 13 days. Hector grew up and attended school in Perry, graduating from Perry High School with the class of 1971. In August of that year, Hector entered the United States Air Force serving four years which included duty in Thailand. He was honorably discharged August 12, 1975. Hector returned to Perry to make his home. He was employed by Wiese Corporation. He also worked for Iowa Spring Manufacturing and at the Ballyhoo. Hector also dedicated some of his spare time to volunteering at Pegasus. Hector had a fondness for the outdoors. He loved to fish, camp and go canoeing. Hector was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry. He was also a member of the Eagle's Lodge. Hector was preceded in death by his father Roger; his maternal grandparents Ralph and Anna Taylor; paternal grandparents Roy and Esther Hethcot; and his wife Beverly. He is survived by his mother Mary Hethcot of Perry; sister: Holly Bradford and her husband Nathan of Pleasant Hill; his children: Stacie, Kristen, Alex and Adam; grandson Austin; and aunt: Verna Mae Carpenter and her husband George; other relatives and many friends.
