Robert Paul Kautzky

Robert "Bob" Kautzky age 90 of Minburn, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, November 18, 2022, at his home near Minburn. Bob Kautzky was born on August 22, 1932, at Minburn, IA to Paul Jacob and Nona (Crellin) Kautzky. He graduated from the Washington Township School. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Bob was united in marriage to Cecelia "Mary" Roeder at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller, IA on June 10, 1957. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past summer. Bob farmed most of his life and did some trucking early on. After retiring from farming, Bob drove the HRTA bus. Bob was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry and Knights of Columbus. He was a life Member of NRA, Friends of the NRA, Minburn American Legion, and several hunting and fishing organizations. Bob served as president of St. Patricks School Board, and president of the School Board for the Diocese of Des Moines. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography and gardening. In death he rejoins his parents, Paul and Nona Kautzky, 2 sons, Karl and Nicholas, and a sister Alice Snater. Left to cherish Bobs memory are his wife Mary Kautzky, children, Robert (Cindy) Kautzky, Anne (Steve) Kautzky, Jozef (Lucinda) Kautzky, and Wayne (Lori) Kautzky, grandchildren, Paul (Amy) Kautzky, Erin (Skyler) McColloch, Kate and Emma Kautzky, David Conroy, Christine Abbrescia, and Jacob, Sam and Ben Kautzky, great grandchildren, Karli, Kailee, and Karsen Kautzky, Lucas, Logan, and Levi McColloch, Xander and Evelyn Conroy, Laken Kautzky, and Lilyana Abbrescia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary service held at 6:30 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Memorials will be given to Minburn American Legend Post and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
