Roberta May Carpenter

Roberta Carpenter, age 74 of Omaha, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Ambassador Rehab in Omaha, NE. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Roberta May Carpenter was born on March 24, 1948, in Perry, IA to Robert Luther and Ruby Fern (Lewis) Smotherman. She graduated from Perry High School. Roberta worked as a waitress at the Uptown caf, and West End Caf, both in Perry. She enjoyed playing games on her tablet, cards with family, and watching NASCAR. In death she rejoins her parents, Robert and Ruby Smotherman, brother, Robert Smotherman, sister, Linda Morgan, stepmother, Vivian Smotherman, and stepfather, Lowell Peterson. Left to cherish Robertas memory are her sons, Donnie (Denise) Carpenter, Rippey, IA, and Billy (Nicky) Carpenter, Dawson, IA, grandchildren, Xavier and Zac Carpenter, Alex and Brittany Carpenter, Matthew (Sam) Kinney, Jasmine (Matt) McNeill, and Hunter (Melissa) Burkett, and six great grandchildren.
