Roger L. Taylor

Roger Lawrence Taylor, 68, died unexpectedly December 11, 2020 at home. He was born in Fort Dodge but grew up in Rockwell City, IA. He worked most of his life as a printer, first for Meredith then at Highland Computer Forms in Urbandale, retiring there several years ago. Roger was truly a man of few words, but with a heroic nature for steadfast management of his wife’s long-standing dementia. His rare moments of enjoyment centered around car races, Jimmy Buffet music, Cyclone sports, and walking the Urbandale trail system. “Rog” is survived by his wife Carole “Peterson” Taylor and her sister Jeannine (Bob) Bowen; niece Donna and nephews Dean and Chad. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles W. Taylor and Hazel “Harms” Taylor; and sister Nancy Tucker. Per his request, no services are planned.
