Roger Steven Claiser was born on April 4, 1946 in Creston, Iowa to Clinton Cordon Climax Claiser and Ruby Walton Claiser. He grew up in Lenox, Iowa where he graduated from high school in 1962. Roger then went on to Creston Community College for a couple of years. In 1968 he was united in marriage to Viola Elaine Brown, and they were blessed with a daughter Carmen, and two sons Morgan and Rod. Roger did construction the majority of his life and was also a mechanic for the Ford parts department. He enjoyed spending time outside mowing his yard and taking care of his animals. Roger was a collector of numerous things over the years. His passion was his Ford Fairlane, and he was even a member of the Fairlane Club. On June 7, 2024 Roger passed away at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Ruby, and his sisters Bonnie and Cindy. Roger's legacy lives on with his daughter Carmen Claiser of Waterloo; two sons Morgan Claiser of Des Moines, and Rod Claiser (Jennifer) of Urbandale; six grandchildren: Kegan Claiser, Taylor Claiser, Mahayla Claiser, Addi Thomas, Kaley Claiser, and Gauge Claiser; brother Davey Claiser of Lenox; sister Connie Claiser of Colorado; other relatives, and friends. *A private family burial will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Greene County, Iowa. Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in charge of the arrangements. A Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date. Events Details are pending.
