RoJean Faye Loghry passed away on August 10, 2019. She was born on February 19, 1931, in Mount Ayr, Iowa. RoJean was the oldest of six and spent much of her childhood helping to take care of her younger siblings. After World War II, RoJean met her husband Harry at a roller-skating rink in Mount Ayr. The two married on December 14, 1946 in Kansas. The pair lived in Blockton, Mount Ayr and Des Moines, Iowa, before settling down in Creston, Iowa where they had three children. RoJean and her family were avid travelers and enjoyed exploring all 50 states in their RV. RoJean and her husband also took many cruises and visited countries all over the world. In 1990, RoJean and her husband moved to Englewood, Florida where they lived for 20 years before returning to Iowa to be closer to their children. During her lifetime, RoJean was active with the Iowa Easter Seals, Camp Sunnyside, March of Dimes, Pony Express and VFW Auxiliary, of which she served as State President from 1971-1972. Her hobbies included bingo, crafting, ceramics painting and quilting. RoJean was a passionate quilter and made a quilt for every member of her family, including all in-laws and pets. She also collected butterflies. RoJean was preceded in death by her husband Harry and is survived by her daughters Sheila (Rick) of Taylors, South Carolina, Rochelle (Bill) of Guthrie Center, Iowa, and son Jerry (Jill) of Urbandale, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her five siblings Deloris, Bob, Glenda, Janet, and Gary. A visitation will be held on Thursday August 15, 2019 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory 8201 Hickman Rd. Urbandale, Iowa. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery, 1844 S. Cherry Rd. in Creston, Iowa on Friday August 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
