Ronald L Castellano, aka Hawkeye, 72, of Adel, Iowa, formerly from Aurora, Colorado passed away at home on February 22, 2025. Ron was born September 13, 1952 in Lima Peru. His family immigrated to the USA and he became a naturalized citizen in 1970. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Grandview College and Iowa State University. Ron was employed by the US Postal Service for 36 years and served in the Iowa National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his parents Ronald A. Castellano and Martha Villamonte Ashman and step-father Bob Ashman; brother Carlos Castellano; grandson Ebon Castellano; and niece Lisa Rossow. He is survived by his wife Jeanne Castellano; sons Nicolas Castellano and Christopher Castellano; step-children Jennifer Booth, Ken Jones and Jeffrey Jones; sisters Martha Stoner (Steve) and Roxana Myers; step-sister Leigh Ann Meacham (Casey); half-brothers Donald and Rick Castellano; nieces Tara Rossow, Jaime Fisher, Hillary Deike; nephews Damon Myers and Chad Meacham; two grand nephews; eight grandchildren and aunts; in-laws; cousins; extended family members and friends as well as his furry shadow, Patsy Cline (Maggie, Lucy, Molly).

Among his many interests, he loved his music, playing tennis, backgammon, cribbage, fishing, and most of all Buzz Time Trivia (where he was a champ). Ron was full of life, had an infectious smile, was funny and kind, and a great friend to many - from all walks of life.

Per Ron’s request no services are being held. A private Celebration of Life will be held later to disperse his cremains.

Cremation services are provided by Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory, Adel, Iowa. No cards or flowers please. You may make a donation in Ron’s memory to Tunnels to Towers (T2T.org).
