Ronald Gene Linn

Ronald Gene Linn, 77, of Windsor Heights passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services in West Des Moines. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, from 4:00 7:00 PM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. Memorials can be made to the Des Moines Art Center. Ronald was born on August 21, 1937 in Waukee, Iowa to Alfred and Zilpah Linn. He graduated from Tech High School in 1955. Ronald graduated from Drake University in 1961 with his Bachelors Degree in Commercial Art. He was the president of the Phi Delta Phi Honorary Art Fraternity. He worked at the Des Moines Register from 1969 2009 as an Editor, Art Director, Commercial Artist, Designer, and Director of the Picture Magazine for 2 years, Ronald is survived by his children; Christopher (Laura) Linn of Des Moines, Alissa (Dave) Douglas of Des Moines, sister; Darla (Greg) Hulse of Adel, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents, and brother; Russell Linn.
