Ronald James Buch

Ronald James Buch (83) passed away on Jan 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A

memorial service will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church (5711 SW 9th St, Des Moines,

IA 50315) on February 2, 2024 at 11:30 am. Ronald’s internment will be held at the Iowa

Veterans Cemetery on February 2, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

Ron was born to Frank and Josephine (Felska) on May 3, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois. He was

raised and educated in Chicago, graduating from Kelly High School with the class of 1959.

Following his primary education, Ron enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

After completing his tour in 1964, he began working for Standard Oil (later Amoco Oil Company). A

few years later Ron and Patricia Evelyn Krosnicki were united in marriage on February 4, 1967,

at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church. Ron continued working for Standard Oil for 33 years until

his retirement. Unable to slow down, Ron began working for Menards on the south-side of Des

Moines in various positions for an additional 25 years until he became too sick.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Buch as well as his sisters,

Francine and Shirley Buch.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia Buch; his children, Rick (Michele) Buch,

Michelle (Robert) Rillie; grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Nicholas, Ricky and Aaron.
