Ronald Kiefer

Ronald Kiefer, 84, of Des Moines, went home to be with his lord and savior on June 26, 2021. Ron was born on August 17, 1936 to Donald and Gertrude Kiefer in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. He was a farmer and semi-truck driver for a majority of his life. He married Donna Swertfager and the two enjoyed many years together. Ron enjoyed many things in life like fishing, walks by the lake with his wife, eating watermelon, and playing bingo. He liked to travel in his semi-truck and would often take his family with him. Ron loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He truly enjoyed riding, working on, and drawing them. He had a very joking personality and always had a quick comeback. He loved to play with his great granddaughter Alizé. Most of all he loved his family and was a family first man. He was the peacekeeper of the family and he will be extremely missed. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Donna, and many cherished family and friends. A celebration of life for Ron will be held at a later date.
