Ronda Langworthy

Ronda Langworthy, 58, of Granger, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2024 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Ronda was born on June 7, 1965 to Willard and Evelyn (Pierce) Flesher in Omaha, NE. She married Darrell Langworthy on June 25, 1988 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waukee. Ronda and Darrell lived in Waukee for 16 years, where they raised their children and later set roots in Granger around 2004.

Ronda was a stay at home mom and worked in daycare for many years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, doing crafts and watching her shows, especially anything Christmas all year round. She always made delicious food and was talented at decorating cakes. Ronda loved to celebrate the holidays, especially Christmas and the 4th of July! If there was a celebration to be had, you knew she was putting it on. Ronda especially loved being with her granddogs Yurik and Charger, who were a big joy in her life and adoringly called them “Grama's boys”. Ultimately she loved her family, spending time with them and her children.

Ronda is survived by her husband, Darrell; children, Nicole, Joshua, and Anna (Stephen) Langworthy; grandchild, Jackson Langworthy, with another one on the way; siblings, Michelle Flesher, Kris Freerkson, Jeff (Tania) Flesher, Janelle (Joe) Valadez, Brittany (Austin) Morrow, Tyler (Joslynn) Flesher, and BriAnna (Travis) Bass; along with nieces and nephews, Andrea, Zachary, Erin, Brady, Abby, Caleb, Dylan, Mallory, Scarlett, and Willow-also Drew, Aylie, and Pat (who she cared for as grandchildren).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Evelyn Flesher; maternal grandparents, Donald and Opal Pierce; and paternal grandparents, Willard and Margaret Flesher.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Granger with family greeting friends two hours prior beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Beaver Catholic Cemetery.
