Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements for Ronna Peel, 80, of Perry and formerly of Minburn. Ronna died December 4, 2022 at MercyOne West Lakes in Des Moines. Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Ronna Moynette (Fisher) Peel, daughter of Ralph Eugene Fisher Jr. and Beryl Moynette Wollen Fisher, was born May 24, 1942 in Buffalo, New York. Ronna and her family moved to Bouton, Iowa when she was young. She met the love of her life Donald E. Peel and the two were united in marriage on November 21, 1959 in Jefferson, Iowa. Ronna graduated for Perry High School in 1960. Her and her husband made their home in Minburn, Iowa. The couple was blessed with two sons Scott and Randy. Ronna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Minburn and the Lutheran churches in Bouton and Perry. She worked as a Resident Treatment Worker at Woodward Resource Center for twenty-three years before retiring. Ronna was a guardian to two of her clients Jason and Tommy and she enjoyed taking them shopping and out to eat. She liked crossword puzzles, wordsearches, cooking, and making flower arrangements. After fifty years in Minburn Ronna and Donald decided to move to Perry. Ronna liked doing ceramics, pottery, and she had quite the collection of angels. She died December 4, 2022 at MercyOne West Lakes in Des Moines, Iowa. Ronna is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Beryl, and stepmother Donna Fisher. She will be dearly missed by her husband of sixty-three years Donald E. of Perry; two sons: Scott Peel (Robbie) of Des Moines and Randy Peel (Diana) of Perry; five grandchildren: Mark Allen (Becky) of Des Moines, Angie Olsen (Josh) of Boone, James Yates of Des Moines, Emily Sheehan (Chris) of Ankeny, and Ashley Herold (Nick) of Ankeny; twelve great-grandchildren; Lucy Moynette Sheehan, Nora Reece Sheehan, Sabin Hicks, Eli Hicks, Landon Olsen, Caiden Allen, Kamhera Allen, Jordan Yates, Dominic Yates, Conner Huffman, Jamaysia Yates, and Tyson Yates; three sisters: Ralyn Stull (Ron) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lindy Harper (James) of Tularosa, New Mexico, and Sherri Reimer of Perry; one brother Dennis Fisher (Jo Brockman) of Dallas Center; other relatives, and many friends.
