Rosalie "Babs" Jablonski

Rosalie “Babs” Louise Jablonski passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022 at the age of 76 at Mercy Hospice Johnson Iowa. Rosalie was born to Chester Luczak and Pearl Jaworski on March 29,1945 on the South Side of Chicago. Babs was a proud graduate of St. Michaels Catholic High School. She was employed by the Chicago Credit Bureau and Carson's Clothing during her Chicago residency. Additionally, she was an accounts payable clerk at the Pick Congress Hotel and Solo Cup. She married LeRoy Jablonski on January 25th, 1964. They relocated to Urbandale, Iowa with Amoco Oil in 1974 where they had one daughter, Jennifer, and have since resided most of their life. While in Iowa, Rosalie was employed as a bookkeeper at the Ned Miller Law Firm and Musser Accounting. Babs prided herself as the family vacation planner with vacations to Branson MO, Gatlinburg TN, Disney, Colorado Springs CO, Nashville TN, Boca Raton, FL, Cancun Mexico and San Francisco CA. Most recently, vacations were spent in a condo in Palmetto Dunes Hilton Head South Carolina. While vacationing in Cancun she caught a 42 Lb. Mahi Mahi and took great pride in that angling accomplishment. Rosalie was a very competitive poker, gin rummy, and Yahtzee player. She was an avid reader and enjoyed country music, attending four Elvis Pressley and three Alan Jackson concerts. She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Pearl, brother Theodore, and furry friends Jim Beam and Fonzie. She is survived by her husband LeRoy, sister Carol, daughter Jennifer Bourgeois, son in law Joshua Bourgeois and of course, the apple of her eye, grandchild William Bourgeois. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3663 66th St., Urbandale, Iowa. Burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa would bring a smile to her face.
