Roy A. Hicks - Adel

Roy Allen Hicks, 67, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his home in Adel, Iowa - where he had spent the past 37 years. He was a retired local pharmacist and business owner. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He also enjoyed supporting the community, especially the fine arts, the Adel Public Library and the Adel United Methodist Church. Those left to mourn his loss are his brother Larry (Carole) Hicks of Lohrville, son Kenneth Hicks of West Des Moines, daughters Angela (Mike) Miller of Mitchellville and Amanda Hicks of Atlantic, granddaughter Sarah Miller, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Marcia and his parents Clifford and Leona Hicks. Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Monday, January 5, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Adel. Burial has already taken place at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends from 2:00-5:00 P.M.
