Ruby Seibert Snyder - Adel

Ruby Zetta Seibert Snyder, 82, of Adel, Iowa died peacefully at home on December 12, 2013. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 16th, at the First Christian Church in Adel, where she was an active member for 63 years. Burial will follow at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Friends may call after noon Sunday, December 15th at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Ruby was born on a farm near Menlo, Iowa on February 25, 1931 to Otis and Zetta Moorhead. Ruby graduated from Perry High School and worked for Northwestern Bell until her children were born. She later returned to work and retired from US West. Ruby had a genuine love for her family, friends and God. She was active in her community and church. She enjoyed listening to country and gospel music, especially the group, Higher Power. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Floyd Henry Seibert, and by one daughter, Vickie Sue Seibert. She is survived by her second husband, Ralph Snyder; sons, Floyd Dennis (Tresa) of Nixa, MO., and Randy (Rose) of Linden; daughters, Susan Dawes of Kansas City, MO., and Sheila McGregor of Des Moines; nine grand children and four great-grandchildren.
