Rudy Vasquez

Rudolph Thomas Vasquez was born November 20, 1939 in Fargo, North Dakota to Joseph and Minnie (Perez) Vasquez. Rudy served in the U.S. Army for four and a half years. He married Marni Allen on December 2, 1972 in Des Moines. Rudy worked for the Polk County Child Support Office, the State Department of Human Services and as an investigator for the State Department of Inspections and Appeals. Rudy retired at the age of 62 from the state. Rudy passed away at the University of Iowa Hospital on September 25, 2016 at the age of 76. Rudy is survived by his wife, Marni; sons, Tom (Joyce) and Jay; honorary son, Dennis (Elaine) Jones; brothers, Eddie, Joe (Phyllis) and David (Bonnie); sisters Josie and Diane (Chuck); daughter-in-law, Carla; sister-in-law, Char; granddaughter, Amanda; grandson, Marshel and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, son, Jon; sisters, Ruth and Phyllis; and brother, Dan. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Fargo, North Dakota and Des Moines, Iowa.
