Ryan Gray

Ryan Gray passed away on January 2, 2021. He was born on September 1, 1980 to Thomas and Kathleen “Lawless” Gray. Ryan attended and was a graduate of St. Theresa and Dowling Catholic High School. After graduating, he got a job at Wal-Mart and worked there for 19 plus years which he thoroughly enjoyed with his coworkers who became his friends. Ryan was an avid movie goer and especially loved golfing with his uncles and grandfather. He is survived by his sister Jayme (Chad) Millhollin; grandmother Mary Belle Lawless; nephews Max and Jack Millhollin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins including Maureen (Mike) Spellman, Michael (Marcie) Lawless, Martha Lawless, Kerry (Glenna) Lawless, and Dan (Peggy) Lawless. He is preceded in death by his mother Kathleen and grandfather Jim Lawless. Due to COVID 19, the family is going to have a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Epilepsy Foundation Iowa at www.epilepsyiowa.org The family would like to express their gratitude to the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit at MercyOne Des Moines for their wonderful care and kindness shown to Ryan while he was there.
