Samuel Victor Kendall

Samuel Victor Kendall was born on February 28, 1942 in Jefferson, Iowa to William Lewis Kendall and Leota Fern (Hueton) Kendall. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1960 and entered the Navy in 1962, honorably discharged in August 1966. Samuel and Ann Marie Jenderny were united in marriage in January 1966. The couple were blessed with a son, William Michael and daughter, Victoria Lynn. Samuel and his family lived in California, with visits to Iowa to spend time with family. Growing up, Sam worked construction in Iowa with his dad and brothers. After leaving the Navy, he earned his college degree in Business and worked as a store Manager (Payless Shoes), Charter Bus Driver in Colorado, a Transit Bus Driver in California and an Interstate Truck Driver based out of Iowa. Samuel enjoyed coin collecting, crossword puzzles, cooking and card games. He was a faithful man and a member of the Church of Christ in Jefferson. Samuel died at his home in Jefferson on October 1st, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Stella Shriver and Sarah Currier, and two brothers Bill Kendall and Ed Kendall. Samuel is survived by his son William Michael Kendall of Jefferson, daughter Victoria Kendall Reuter and her husband Dave of Torrance, California and granddaughter Jacqueline Alicia Crochet of Long Beach, California; three brothers: Jerry Kendall and his wife Judy of Kansas, Jon Kendall and his wife Petra of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Howard Kendall and his wife Rita of Edmond, Oklahoma; two sisters: Dorothy Grubbs and her husband Dale of Dawson, and Nola Antonian and her husband Randy of Grand Junction; nieces, nephews and loved ones. *Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in charge of arrangements*
