Sandy Kay (Nachreiner) Takacs, born September 16, 1945 in Richland Center, WI, died of cancer June 14, 2019 in Adel, IA at the age of 73. Sandy was the third oldest of four brothers and four sisters living on a small dairy farm in southcentral Wisconsin for most of her childhood. Sandy attended several one room school houses until high school, where she graduated from Webb High School in Reedsburg, Wisconsin in 1963. After high school Sandy moved to Madison, Wisconsin, taking classes in TV and radio repair while working nights cleaning at the newspaper. After her classes she moved with her beloved jeep “Willy” to Lyle, IL to work as a circuit tester for Western Electric. In 1973 Sandy and “Willy” adventured out west to attend Montana State University for one year. While there she met and married George Lewis Takacs IV of Parma, OH on June 8, 1974. On September 25, 1986 they welcomed George Lewis Takacs V into their life. Sandy loved being with her family and friends. She cherished her son “Tak”. Sandy was excited to finally see her son marry Lindsay Hiett in Fort Collins, CO on March 23, 2019. In the summer 2017 it was Sandy’s choice to pick a retirement location. Hello Adel, Iowa!
