Sandra Roylene Free

Sandra "Sandy" Free, age 82 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Perry Lutheran Homes Kings Garden Campus in Perry, IA. Visitation with her family will be on Friday, April 15, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Memorials will be given to Acorns & Oaks Christian Day Care and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Sandra "Sandy" Roylene Free was born on April 29, 1939, at Atlantic, IA to Roy Elmer and Mildred (Schuemaker) Keasey. She graduated from the Exira High School. She was united in marriage to Francis Asbury Free in the Exira Lutheran Church in Exira, IA on October 31, 1970. She provided in home day care in Perry, IA until her retirement. She was involved with the Foster Grandparents Program with the United Way of Iowa and was a Foster Grandparent at St. Patrick's School in Perry. She enjoyed going camping and crocheting. In death she rejoins her parents, Roy and Mildred Keasey, sisters, Ardith Madsen-Lauridsen, Mary Lou Walker-Govig, and Nancy Fusselman, and her brothers, Richard Keasey, Danny Keasey, and Daryle Keasey. Left to cherish Sandys memory are her husband Francis Free, children, Todd Free, Perry, IA, and Tonya (Aaron) Summerson, Perry, IA, and her grandchildren, Timothy Free, Perry, IA, Kitana Summerson, Des Moines, IA, Trinity Summerson, Des Moines, IA, and Kaiden Summerson, Perry, IA.
