Sandra S. 'Formerly Of Adel' Freestone - Des Moines

Sandra died Friday, July 31, with family at her side, at Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines, after a lengthly illness. Sandra was born January 12, 1950, in Des Moines, to Raleigh, Sr. and Sadie Hutt. She was a resident of Adel prior to going to the care center. Sandra worked at the Polk County Administration building, in the computer operations department. After she retired, she enjoyed spending time with her cats and relaxing in her easy chair. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Paula Thompson of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) Seiberling and Christopher Thompson; great grandchildren, Jace and Samantha; stepsons, Jerry (Sarah) Freestone, Larry (Jennifer) Freestone, Kelly (Kenna) Freestone and their children; brother, Raleigh (Cindy) Hutt, Jr.; niece, Amanda and nephew, Brice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Freestone, and her parents. Family will greet friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, August 2nd at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 3rd at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. Memorial contributions may be directed in Multiple Sclerosis Research. Online condolences may be left at this site.
