Douglas “Scot” Coglizer, 38, of Grand Junction passed away unexpectedly November 13, 2020. Interment of Scot’s urn will take place at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Scot was born August 28, 1982 to Doug and Shirley (Poole) Coglizer in Amarillo, Texas. Scot graduated from Madrid high school in 2000. Following school Scot joined the Army where he proudly served his country. Following his time in the military Scot attended ITT Tech and DMACC where he gained additional education and certification in electronics. Scot had a passion for electronics where he would not only work on them but, enjoyed playing games on them as well, he also enjoyed fishing. Scot had many hobbies and interests, but his greatest passion was caring for his daughter Angel who he loved very dearly. He is survived by his loving daughter Angel; parents Doug and Shirley; grandmother Norma Kenoyer; sister Melissa (Zach) Deaver and nephews Caden, Braxton and Clayton. As well As numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Kenneth Gene Coglizer Sr., Vern and Carmen Poole, Henry Kenoyer. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
