Sharon was born February 20, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa to Don E. and Joy Marie Williams. She attended Nash Elementary and St. Johns Catholic School. She was a graduate of St. Josephs Academy in 1971 and attended Des Moines Community College. Sharon and Luis Gonzalez married on June 6th, 1974 in Des Moines, IA. Sharon has been an educator since her early adult life and began her daycare in 1983 in Concord, CA. Over the years she has lived in several cities across the United States teaching, caring and inspiring so many children in her care. In 1993 Sharon and her family moved to Overland Park, KS where she continued to operate Sharons Childcare and Preschool. Sharon shared her home with her daycare children every day and always made herself available to others. She joyfully gave of herself with a generous spirit to her dear friends and family. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She had so many passions in life and overcame many adversities. She loved to read books, meditate and study her bible. Sharon was a very social and loving person who lived to teach. It was her priority that each child in her care was successful and independent. Sharon enjoyed traveling, eating out and going to the movies. Sharon is a remarkable woman and we will forever cherish her legacy of continually learning, leading courageously and loving genuinely. Sharon always instilled a foundation of always giving thanks, doing for others and lending an encouraging word. Sharon was a member of Heartland Community Church in Olathe, KS were she was involved in several womens groups. Sharon leaves behind, her husband Lou Gonzalez, Son Luis Gonzalez and Daughter Lisa (Gonzalez) Thomas (Milton). Her grandson's Milton, Malachi, Christopher and Granddaughters Angelina Thomas and DeJhanea Harston. Brothers David Williams and Donald Williams. Sisters, Beverly McQuerry (Donald), Teresa Hawkins (Tommy) and Mary Wilson (Keith) and many nieces and nephews. Her Father Don E Williams, and Brother's James Richard Williams and William Charles Duff preceded her in death. John 11:23-26 23 Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again. 24 Martha answered, I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
