Sharon Clyde, 77, formerly of Winterset died December 1, 2015, at Rowley Masonic Community in Perry. A visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset, where family will be present to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 5 at Ochiltree Funeral Service with burial to follow in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family and online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com. Ava Sharon Johnston, daughter of James and Agnes (Reynolds) Johnston, was born February 14, 1938 in Tingley, Iowa. Sharon graduated from Winterset High School in 1957. She was united in marriage with Jerold Clyde on December 22, 1978, in Winterset. Sharon worked as a licensed medical aid for Summerset Haven Nursing Home for 25 years. She was a talented cook and baker who enjoyed sharing her delicious meals with her family and friends. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerold Clyde of Perry; daughter, Teresa Silverthorn of Redfield; son, Jeff (Betty) Hope of Winterset; brothers, Delbert Johnston of Winterset, Duane Johnston of Council Bluffs; sister, Lucy (Dave) Clark of Winterset; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
