Sharon J. Mitchell

Sharon J. Mitchell, 70, of Winterset, Iowa died suddenly Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Services for Sharon will be private. Memorials may be made in her name to the family. Sharon Joyce Gaskey was born October 30, 1942 in Davenport, Iowa to Thomas William Sr. and Bernice Irene (Rohrback) Gaskey. Sharon moved to Winterset from Lorimor a couple months ago and prior to this she had lived in Minnesota and California. Sharon was a homemaker but also worked outside the home as a missile inspector for General Dynamics when in California, inspecting missiles for the United States Government. She also worked at Northern Contours, a cabinet making factory in Fergus Fall, MN. Those left to honor her memory are her three children, Sherri Kintzer of Hemet, CA; Brenda Dittmer of Lincoln, NE; David Barris of Winterset; two sisters, Mary Schroeder of Victorville, CA; Linda Williams of Davenport; a brother, James Gaskey of Davenport; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas William Gaskey, Jr. and a great granddaughter.
