Shawn Eric Osburnsen

Shawn passed away suddenly at home on April 11, 2016. He was born on May 14, 1971 in Minnesota to Mike and Merrily Osburnsen. Shawn was employed by Tim Brehm Allstate Insurance Company. Shawn was a fun-loving, extraordinary man. He had many passions in life. Golf was near the top of his list. Shawn also loved cheering for the Michigan Wolverines, Minnesota Vikings, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He loved fishing in Minnesota and vacationing in Clear Lake. Shawn loved to entertain, always making sure everyone had a GOOD TIME and was well fed! Shawns greatest love is his wife Trish. They had many years of fun and traveling together. He has a place in his heart for the many children at Trishs day care and his nieces and nephews. Shawn is survived by his wife Trish (Longo), his parents, brothers, Mike (Darcy), Peter (Celeste), Jesse (Fabiana), Aaron, Seth (Heather), Simon (Jessica), David (Leetha) and Jared, sisters, April (Justin) Kim (Nick) and Anna (Richard), ), brothers-in-law, Jim (LuAnne) and John, sisters-in-law, Diane, Theresa (Bob) and Mary and their families. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM 12:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2016 with a service immediately following at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Tee of Central Iowa or to Trish Osburnsen. A special thank-you to all the friends, colleagues, golf buddies, and acquaintances who not only were good friends of Shawns, but whose lives were touched by his wit, humor, and his zest for life.
