Sheila Goode

Sheila Kay Goode was born March 30, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles and Dorothy Hastie. She was the youngest of 5 children; Carla, Michelle, Steve and Derry. She was raised on an acreage in Indianola and attended Indianola High School and graduated in 1980. She went on to college at NE Missouri where she studied and learned a lot about life. Sheila met John Goode July 4, 1986, married him November 14, 1987; they just celebrated 32 years of marriage. They had 3 children; Alyssa, Luke and Chelsae and currently raising Andrea and Cameron. Sheila and John lived on the north side of Des Moines for many years and then made the big move west to Urbandale. Sheila worked for over 20 years at Holy Family School in Des Moines. She worked for Flatt tire and then the last 4 years she worked for Hubbell Realty and Home. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she also was involved with the school. Sheila passed away November 28, 2019, she was 57. Sheila was the light to many, she was always smiling and made everyone feel welcomed and radiated love. Sheila spent her time active with her family; the love of her life John, her children and her 6 grandchildren; Andrea, Cameron, Anabel, AJ, Juan and Waylon. She loved Clear Lake and being outside. She spent time with her friends and within her community always finding ways to be helpful and have fun. She will be missed by many but her love and faith in God are the things that she encouraged us to remember. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Holy Trinity Catholic School.
