Shirley Bailey, age 83 of Perry, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022, with her family by her side at her home in Perry. A Celebration of her life will be announced later. Memorials will be given to her family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Shirley Ann Bailey was born on November 16, 1938, at Sliema Malta England to Sydney Revley and Susanna (Debono) Hogbin. She was united in marriage to Fred "Don" Donald Bailey at Ferndale, MI on March 23, 1957. She cooked at Perry Bowl for many years, managed Perry Washall for over 25 years, and sold Avon for 35 years. She was a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino, cooking, bowling, and eating at Red Lobster. She loved watching her grandchildren, great grandchildren and spending time with family and hosting family gatherings. In death she rejoins her husband Fred "Don" Donald Bailey, parents, Sydney and Susanna Hogbin, son-in-law David Holcomb, grandson Ron Landals, brother, Tony Hogbin, and sisters, Doreen Axsom, Pauline Kramm and Eileen Lemay. Left to cherish Shirleys memory are her children, Candace Holcomb (Tom Ulrich), Bagley, IA, Dawn Bailey, Perry, IA and Steve (Angie) Bailey, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Travis (Bethany) Spence, Olathe, KS, Nicole Spence, Perry, IA, Robyn Spence, Grimes, IA, Joshua Williams, Grimes, IA, and Kassie (Austin) Munoz, Ankeny, IA, a step granddaughter Ashly Landals, Perry, IA, great grandchildren, Caleb and Daxton Spence, Cameron and Caiden Spence, Peyton Landals, Vanessa Overly, Michael, Ronnie Jr., Graysen and Bennet Landals, and Audi, Declan and Ellington Munoz, and her best friends Luann Grove, Dora Siems, and her hospice helper, Beth.
