Shirley Schriefer Hines

Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements for Shirley Ann Schriefer-Hines, 82, of Perry. Shirley passed away on November 12, 2018. A visitation with viewing will be held Monday November 26th from 5 to 7p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Shirley will be buried Tuesday November 27th at the Rippey cemetery by her parents, brother and sons. Shirley Ann Hines was born October 16, 1936 in Geneva, Nebraska to her parents Carl Gerhart Schriefer and Grace Wilhemina Boe. She passed from this life on November 12, 2018 at the age of 82. Shirley moved with her family to Iowa in 1941 and lived on farms until moving to Perry where she lived for many years. She was active in her church and in 4H. Shirley had two sons Donnie Jeffries and Kenny Hines from previous marriages. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, love camping with family, attending the County and State Fair, crocheting and playing bingo. Shirley was a very kind person who loved her family and friends. She would never pass up a friendly conversation. Shirley is survived by and will be deeply missed by her brother in law Gail Monthei (Pat) of Rippey, nephew Marc Monthei of Clive, niece Carrie McCain (Chris) of Ogden, and other relatives and many friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her grandparents Jacob and Martha Schriefer and Emil and Anna Boe, parents Carl and Grace Schriefer, infant brother Gerald Gordon Schriefer, infant sister Donn Mae Schriefer, sister Carolyn Monthei, brother Wayne Schriefer, and her two sons Donnie Jeffries and Kenny Hines.
