Shirley was born March 31, 1928 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Homer and Lucille (Lacey) Pinyerd. Shirley married Lowell Wagoner and moved to Iowa in the 1940's living in Perry, Adel and later in Des Moines. She later married John Holtz and after his death, married Bernard Booe. She later moved to Branson where she lived for many years. She moved to Winterset in recent months to be near her family. Shirley is survived by her son, Jeff Wagoner and wife, Rhonda of Winterset; a son-in-law, Craig McCann of Olathe, KS; a stepdaughter, Theresa (Adam) Mueller of Denver, NC; a stepson, Dan (Kaye) Booe if Clinton, IA; a brother, Arlen Pinyerd of California; 8 grandchildren, Stacie (Gina) Kagan; Sean (Amy) Siebels; Jessica (Jamie) Johnson; Hillary Siebels; Rebecca (Scott) Russell; Colleen (Jed) Gunby; Caitlin and Collin Jones; 8 great-grandchildren, Jack, Gabe, and Judah Kagan; Natalie, Owen, and Maggie Siebels; Zack and Samantha Gunby and a ninth great-grandchild-to-be, baby Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John and Bernard; a daughter, Linda McCann; and a sister, Sharon Stone. Aside from her many years as a dedicated homemaker, Shirley was a talented seamstress working out of her home and for a time, assisted in sewing costumes for shows in Branson. Sewing was not only a way to make a living, it was something she loved to do. Shirley loved nature and often took pictures of beautiful scenery. Walking was one way she enjoyed being in nature and routinely walked up until the past couple months. She also loved collecting rocks, gardening and china painting. She was interested in living healthy and was mindful of eating right and recently attending classes on Tai Chi. Shirley died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation in Winterset. She was 81. Visitation: Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, Iowa. Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
