Steven R Blades

Steven Richard Blades, 64, of Altoona, IA, passed away December 23, 2020, at his home with his loved ones by his side. A visitation will be held from 1:00p.m.–3:00p.m. January 3, 2021, at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home in Urbandale. Steve was born December 1, 1956, in Des Moines, IA, to Kenneth Blades and Anna Jeanette Clark. Steve attended East High School and graduated in 1974. He worked as a truck driver for some time. He then went on to own his own business for many years. He was a beloved father and papa. His kids and grandbabies were his everything. Steven had a great life and was loved by many. Steve is survived by his children Kenneth (Jeni) Blades and Katie (Patrick Wright) Blades; grandchildren Max Krause, Magan Blades, Mollie Blades, Mandi Blades, Allison Wright, Anna Wright, Ryan Wright; two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews as well as other loving relatives and countless special friends. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Anna Blades, two brothers, and many family and friends. Memorials may be directed to the family.
