Suzette Moorehead Hammerberg - Winterset

Suzette Tawnya Maria (Moorehead) Hammerberg, 43, of Winterset, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at her residence in Winterset. Memorial services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2013, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Steve Allison officiating. Her body has been cremated with her cremains being interred in the Winterset Cemetery at a later date. Suzie was born on July 10, 1970, at Winterset to Lawrence and Rita (Welch) Moorehead. She was a 1988 graduate of Winterset High School and continued her education at Hamilton's Business College where she received an Associates Degree. Suzie lived most of her life in the Winterset area and worked for Fiserv Financial Services in Des Moines. She attended the Earlham Church of Christ in Earlham. Suzie is survived by her mother, Rita (Welch) Moorehead; husband, Bill Hammerberg of DeSoto; son, Tyler (Emily) Sutherland of Winterset; step-daughter, Cassidy Hammerberg of DeSoto; brother, Marvin (Rhonda) Moorehead of Coon Rapids, Robert Moorehead of Ottumwa, Kelly Moorehead of Denison, and Cory Moorehead of Atlantic; sister, Kara Moorehead of Atlantic; and grandchild, Tessa Sutherland. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Moorehead; and brother, George Moorehead. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 4 PM at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 3 to 4 PM. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.
