Tax Mcfarland

Tax McFarland, 48, of Lorimor, passed away on March 4, 2021 at his home. At this time no services are planned. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Tax was born on December 10, 1972 to Michael McFarland and Toni (Fish) Moon. He attended Winterset Schools. On July 24, 2010, he married Donna Auten at Three Mile Lake. Tax enjoyed many things in life, including riding motorcycles, woodworking, playing airsoft, mushroom hunting, cooking and being active with the renaissance fairs. He loved to tell a good story and if you didn’t leave with your ribs hurting from laughing so much, then you didn’t listen well enough. He also loved hanging out with his buddies, drinking beer and having a good time. He enjoyed watching movies, especially Star Wars, as that was his favorite. He liked to listen to music and quiz everyone on the songs. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Tax was preceded in death by his father, Michael McFarland; grandparents, Michael and Bobbi McNamara; grandfather, Lyle Fish; grandmother, Niada McFarland; aunt, Lila Fish; and numerous extended family. He is survived by his wife, Donna McFarland; mother, Toni Moon; sons, Cade and Hunter McFarland; daughter, Rayvon McFarland; step-children, Mariah Auten, Ravin (David) Miller, Tangi Willcox, Vincent Willcox, and Tryston (Kalie) Willcox; brothers Chad McFarland, Kirk Moon, and Dusty McFarland; 1 grandchild and 7 step-grandchildren.
