A Memorial Service for Terry Morrison, age 65 of Creston, Iowa will be held 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Ochiltree Funeral Services in Winterset. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Terry Lynn Morrison, the son of Laffeyette and Hulda (Cass) Morrison, was born in Earlham, Iowa on May 8, 1951. Terry passed away, Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 65. He worked most of his career for John Deere as a forge operator. When not working for John Deere, he worked at Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel and Lillie Plumbing. Terry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. On October 14, 1994, he married Connie Marie Fletcher in Story County, Iowa. They made their home west of Winterset before moving into town. They later moved to Creston where they were currently residing. Terry had served as a volunteer for the DNR since 2011. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, also his infectious laugh and his love of John Deere tractors. He was an avid shooter, loving to teach others to shoot and reload. He enjoyed playing cribbage, card games and his Minnesota Vikings football. Connie and Terry also loved traveling to Branson, Missouri to take in the shows. He is survived by his wife, Connie of Creston; three daughters, Jessica (Scott) Cutting of Earlham, Melissa (Bryan Ranes) Morrison of West Des Moines, Amy (Eric) Thompson of Des Moines; three step daughters, Dena (Marc) Finer of Pleasant Hill, Nicole Allen (Justin Hildebrand) of Winterset and Charli (D.J.) Harrison of Des Moines; a sister, Becky (Curt) Tucker of Panora; a brother, Raymond Coffman of Panora and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Vanessa and Michael Morrison (infant twins); two brothers, Phil Morrison and Eugene Coffman; a sister, Sandra Ball; and a grandson, Beau Thompson.
