Thelma (Fulton) Holliday, 74, of Greenfield died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Kavanagh House on 56th in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 10 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with burial to follow in the Grand River Center Cemetery, Adair County. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 9 at Ochiltree’s with an Eastern Star Service beginning at 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Winterset. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ochiltree.com. Thelma Elaine Fulton was born in Winterset, Iowa on February 13, 1939, the daughter of Robert and Helen (Simmons) Fulton. She was married to Jim Michael and to this union a daughter, Stacie was born. She later married Phil Holliday on June 24, 1978 in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Thelma was a homemaker most of her life but had also worked for the Des Moines Register as a classifieds advertising representative for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winteset where she was active in the UMW. She was also a member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 91 in Greenfield. She is survived by her husband, Phil Holliday of Greenfield; her daughter, Stacie Mosley (Rick) of Urbandale; 4 stepchildren, Mary Quine (Mike) of Carlisle; Art Holliday (Pat) of Waukee; Andy Holliday (Robin) of Adel, and Dwayne Holliday (Barb) of Sicklerville, NJ. She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Consolover (Bill) of Adel; Roberta Fitch of Des Moines; Kay Kruger of Des Moines, and Fay Witham of Phoenix, AZ; a brother-in-law, Melvin Perry of Des Moines; and 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mary Lou Perry.
