Thomas E. Hubbard - Adel

Tom Hubbard of Adel IA, born July 5, 1953 passed away from complications of a stroke on June 3, 2013 at 9:23 pm at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines with his family by his side. He lived the majority of his life in Adel. His family moved to Worth MO where he spent some time before moving back and married Linda Hall on July 17, 1976. They were blessed with two daughters. Tom enjoyed driving his semi, until he was unable to due to glaucoma. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, bowling on a league, searching for things for people on Craigslist, going to the casino, hanging out at Fullers, and going on road trips. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Linda; daughters, Nicole (David) Cupp, Jessica (Fred Biggs) Hubbard; step-grandchildren, Max and Sasha Biggs; sisters, Gloria(Larry) Roush, Esther (Leonard) Roush, Sharon Higgins, Julie (Sam Schneider) Straight; brother Gary (Linda) Hubbard; sister-in-laws, Virginia (Harold) Weber and Christine Hall; 15 nieces and nephews and a ton of extended family and friends. He was preceeded in death by his parents Melvin and Olive; brother, Lynn; brother-in-law, Larry Higgins; and nephew, Melvin Roush. He was a big man with a big heart. Roll on Daddy Roll on! Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 5 - 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions can be left in his name and online condolences can be left on this site.
