Thomas Heckinger

Thomas Frederick Heckinger was born on March 16, 1969. He is now with his father, Frederick Thomas Heckinger, in Heaven, whom he loved so very much. Tom had his fathers capacity for salesmanship, which he did quite well with retail sales. Tom loved playing high school football and was a loyal University of Iowa fan. He was so very proud of his son Kyler for doing so good in all kinds of sports, and especially proud of him attending the U of Iowa. Tom was an extremely likeable, good guy, and will be missed by many. He loved his sister, Janell Cross, and nephew, Cody Cross, and mother, Yvonne DeCarlo Heckinger. He will be remembered by his Uncle Michael DeCarlo Jr., Aunt Dixie DeCarlo, Uncle Patrick DeCarlo, Aunt Kathy DeCarlo, Aunt Charon Heckinger-Thompson, Uncle Ken Thompson, Aunt Roxanne Heckinger-Clayton, Uncle Don Clayton, as well as his cousins, and numerous friends. A visitation will be held at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home at 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale, Iowa on Tuesday, August 18, from 5 PM to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, August 19, at 10:30 AM.
