Timothy Alan Grove, son of Arleta Rae Hunt and Gene Clarence Grove was born, September 22, 1961 in Jefferson, Iowa and died May 13, 2014 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, at the age of 52. Funeral Services were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Crossroads Church, Perry, Iowa. Words of comfort Pastor Rick Gates, Crossroads Church of Perry, Iowa. Honorary bearer Wayne Peel and casket bearers; Jeremy Grove; Leslie Welch; Steve Welch; Rob Sexton; Jason Payne and Victor Blitz. The burial was at the Dallas Township Cemetery in Dawson, Iowa. Tim attended school in Dawson and later graduated from Perry High School. As a young boy he tended to a paper route, walked beans and sold worms. Tim was then united in marriage with Sharon Kay Payne. They were blessed with two children, daughter, Jamie and son, Aaron. In his earlier years he was the first male carhop at the A & W restaurant and worked at Alco. Tim then worked at Woodward Resource Center for 35 years. Tim was a man of many hobbies he loved yard work, camping, fishing, tubing, boating, decorating for the holidays, walking his dog Gracie and spending time at his fish pond. Tim started his day with a Diet Mountain Dew. He enjoyed all country music, one of his favorites being the Zac Brown Band. Tim's favorite basketball team was the Hawkeyes. He was a generous person who liked helping others. Tim greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was very active in all of their activities. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers; Keith Grove and Gene Grove Jr. Tim is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sharon Kay Grove, his daughter; Jamie (Steve) Welch of Perry; his son; Aaron (Stacy) Grove of Louisburg, Kansas and his 4 grandchildren; Gage Welch, Lexie Welch, Isaac Grove and Eamon Grove. Tim is also survived by his mother in law; Mary Payne of Perry; sisters-in-law; Connie Grove of Oregon; Vickie Payne of Perry; Janet (Bob) Hickman of Jefferson and Karen Payne of Jefferson; aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
