Timothy Bice

Timothy Russell Bice, 68, of Woodward passed away peacefully on November 26, 2022 at Kavanagh House Hospice in Des Moines with family by his side. Tim was born on April 14, 1954 to Russell Bice and Nylene (York) Hansen. Tim attended and graduated from Woodward-Granger in 1972. He went on to own and operate Bice Oil Corporation, Bice Transportation, and Blue Flame Fuels until his retirement in July 2022. He was united in marriage to Laurie Smith on June 27, 1981. Tim loved seeing the country on motorcycle trips with his wife and friends, working on his GTOs, annual trips to Barrett Jackson-Scottsdale with his son and spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could. He loved his family more than anything and providing guidance and support to them was his top priority. He was also a strong supporter of the community and served on various committees over the years. In death he rejoins his, father, Russell Bice, grandparents Carl and Ruby Bice, Edna York, and Virgil York. Left to cherish Tims memory are his wife of 41 years, Laurie Bice; mother, Nylene Hansen; children Ashley (Paul) Ryan of Grimes, Iowa, Matt Bice (Jessica) of Granger, Iowa; grandchildren Taylor, Jackson and Brayden Ryan, Tripp and Collins Bice as well as many other friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Woodward United Methodist Church in Woodward. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Woodward United Methodist Church in Woodward with family present from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Woodward Cemetery. Memorials will be given to the family for later designation.
