In the blink of an eye, Tim was taken from us on May 19, 2016. A memorial honoring Tim’s life will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale, Iowa. Tim was born on September 8, 1955 to Millard “Trapper” Troxell and Suzanne Quinby Troxell. Tim was diagnosed early in his life with Downs Syndrome, and lived the majority of his life in and around Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Tim was loved and cherished by his parents, his older sister, Sally, his older brother Mark, and his younger brother, Dan. Tim was a gentle soul who bravely fought the many ailments he suffered over his lifetime. He spent the last 11 years of his life with Mosaic, in West Des Moines, so that he could be close to his family. He was happy at his Mosaic home, cared for by a team of very caring folks who loved and appreciated his quirky, joking, engaging exuberance (and pranks!), and who worked skillfully with the rascal in him. Tim LOVED HIS COFFEE, his hamburgers and fries, and his cherry pie. He loved the music he danced to, shopping, bowling, and he was a frequent medalist at the Special Olympics. Tim was preceded in death by his father, who died in 1985, his mother, who died in 2000, and his older brother Mark, who died in 2005. Tim is survived by his sister Sally (Jeff Goetz), brother Dan (Mary Bourquin), nephews Andrew, Tighe, Erik, and Phillip Troxell, niece Sophie Troxell, Aunt Theodora Kracht, and cousins Jim (Merry) Petersen, Polly Petersen, Rod Petersen, Troy (Mary) Petersen, and their children. Rest in peace, Timothy Ring, rest in peace. Memorial contributions may be made to Mosaic of Central Iowa: www.mosaicinfo.org
