Tommie Winters

Tommie G. Winters, 73, of Winterset, died Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Indianola. Tommie was born on December 29, 1947 in Columbus, Kansas where he lived his first few years of life. His family moved to California where he spent the rest of his school years and went on to serve in the US Army from 1966-1968. He was deployed to Vietnam and came home in 1968 with disabilities. He married Joan Hupp in 1992. He is survived by his wife, Joan of 28 years and 3 stepchildren, Teresa from Alabama, Gary of Arkansas, and Ronald of Iowa. He is also survived by a brother, Danny in California, a sister Sandy in California, and a brother, Tim in Indianola. He was loved very much and will be missed greatly. Military Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
