Vera Krengel

Vera Krengel, age 92 of Perry, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Perry Lutheran Home in Perry, IA. A memorial service in her honor will be held at a later date at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Memorials will be given to Mission Central, 40755 Co Hwy E16, Mapleton, IA 51034. Vera Lois Krengel was born on September 11, 1928 at Springfield, IL to Frederick and Lena (Schroll) Wallner. She attended the Trinity Lutheran School and High School in Springfield, IL. She was united in marriage to George Arnold Krengel at Springfield, IL on June 13, 1948. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden, IA. She enjoyed traveling and reading. In death she rejoins her husband George, parents, Frederick and Lena, siblings, William Wallner, Nellie Blas, Martin Wallner, Edna Michels and Alma Meseke, son-in-law, Steven Fremder, and a son, Mark Krengel. Left to cherish Veras memory are her children, Barbara (Dave Bell) Fremder, Columbus, NE, Thomas Krengel, Norwalk, IA and John (Janet) Krengel, Boone, IA, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Emily Krengel, Atlantic, IA.
