Violet P. Valentine - Adel

Violet Pearl Valentine, 90, died Sunday, September 20 at Adel Acres in Adel. She was born June 17, 1925 in St. Joseph, MO to Floyd and Katie (Adams) Post and grew up in King City, MO. Violet married Bill Valentine on August 5, 1942 and they had three children. She is survived by her daughter, Deb (Leonard) Warford of Dexter; daughter-in-law, Sue Valentine of Adel; grandchildren, Amy (Bill) Lytle, Angie (Mark) Kolk, Dawn (Kendal) Madsen, Jennifer (Ryan) Wood, Aaron (Kim) Valentine and Nancy Valentine, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and sons, Randy and Michael. Violet was a cook at the Adel Schools for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family, canning from her husband's garden, visiting with friends and spoiling her grandchildren. At her request, the body has been cremated and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be directed to the ADM Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be left at this site.
