A service for Virginia Maxine Bonneson was held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation was held at Irene Barbara Lunde Memorial Chapel from 11:00 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. Monday. Another visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral service. Pastor Ray Holmquist of the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Perry provided words of comfort. Casket bearers were: Michael B. Campbell, Jeff Hamilton, Michael S. Campbell, Adam Hamilton, Bill Mueller and Larry Hill. Hymns chosen were Amazing Grace and On Eagles Wings. Chuck Schott was the organist. Interment took place at Valley View Cemetery in Perry. Following the service at the cemetery was a luncheon in the Hastings Funeral Home Lounge. Virginia Maxine Bonneson was born May 9, 1919 in Pomeroy, Iowa, to Minnie Elizabeth Struchler and Harry Cleveland Clifton. She passed away July 23, 2014, at Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry at the age of 95. Maxine attended school and graduated from Perry. Maxine worked in accounting for Montgomery Wards and was also a bookkeeper for Woodward State Hospital School. In Maxine's free time she enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, solving puzzles and reading. Maxine was a member of the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Perry. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sisters and two brothers. Maxine is survived by her son Charles (Mary Lou) Stromquist of Perry, Iowa, daughter Janine (Bob) Faulkner of Clayton, Delaware, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. www.hastingsfh.com
