Virginia White, age 87 of Perry, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the Perry Lutheran Home in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church near Bouton, IA.For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed live on the Christ Lutheran Church Facebook page. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Please be aware that guidelines for gatherings require that we allow only 10 people in the funeral home at a time. You may be asked to wait outside before entering. Burial will be in the Woodward Cemetery at Woodward, IA. Memorials will be given to Perry Lutheran Home or Christ Lutheran Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Virginia Ann White was born on February 9, 1933 at Perry IA to Howard I. and Anna M. (Arnold) Nelson. She attended school at Perry High School with the class of 1951. She was united in marriage to Charles Dean White at Trinity Lutheran Church Perry, IA on October 8, 1950. Virginia worked for 24 years at the Calico Shop and baked wedding and birthday cakes. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and the Garden Club in Perry. She enjoyed Iowa Artists, quilting, knitting, hand painted cards, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. In death she rejoins her husband Charles, parents, Howard and Anna and a brother, Donald Nelson. Left to cherish Virginia's memory are her sons, Karl (Peggy) White, Pella, IA and Russell (Charmalee) White, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Jeremy (Laci) White, Cory (Monica) White, Crissy (Josh) Kanselaar, Kayla White, Travis White and Tyler White, great grandchildren, Koltyn, Louis, Emma, Larrissa, Brandon, Hannah, Tucker, Taylor and Tanner and great great grandchildren, Lia, Jayce and Brenna.
