Wanda White, 88, of Truro died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 21, at the Winterset Community Church with a funeral service immediately following beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in the Hartman Cemetery near Truro following the luncheon. Memorials may be directed to the UnityPoint Hospice and online condolences can be left for the family at ochiltree.com. Wanda Jean Warren, daughter of Clifford and Merle (Haskins) Warren, was born October 30, 1930 in Kansas. She attended schools in the Runnells area. Wanda was united in marriage with Larry White on December 31, 1949 at a farm house outside of Runnells. Wanda was a dedicated farmwife helping with daily chores and always had dinner ready for Larry and the help. She was a very talented cook and baker who was known for always having homemade bread, pies and apple butter in the kitchen. Wanda tended a large garden and canned her produce. She was artistic and enjoyed writing poetry and drawing. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who cherished spending time with her family. Wanda is survived by her husband of 69 years, Larry White of Truro; two children, Denny (Carol) White of Winterset; Carol Duede of Truro; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and two on the way; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Merle Warren; two brothers, Herb Warren; Bill (Doris) Warren; sister, Bernice (Glen) Hodson; and a grandson, Stacy Lee White.
