Wanda was born August 20, 1925 in Gore, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ada and Clara (Farris) Summerlin. Her marriage to Charles Landreth took place on March 14, 1959 in Las Vegas, NV. She came to Iowa in 1959. Lorimor Cemetery, Lorimor, Iowa She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Larry Landreth; a grandson, Charles Marts and Mercedes Pickett, a great-granddaughter, now an angel in heaven. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and farm wife, assisting her husband in the management and operation of the family farm. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Afton, IA, the Eastern Star of Thayer of which she held several offices, and most of all she was a wonderful mother. She is survived by her husband, Charles of Afton; three daughters, Sue Duffe and husband, Larry, of Wilton, IA; Clara Edwards and husband, John W., of Lorimor, IA, Tammy Colbert and husband, Ira, of Lorimor, IA; three sons, Hubert Spyres and wife, Christi, of Lawrenceville, GA; Bill Spyres and wife, Delores, of Ozark, AR; Mike Landreth and wife, Becky, of Denison, TX; four brothers, Bill Summerlin of CA; Paul Summerlin and wife, Wilma, of OK; Richard Summerlin of OK; Andrew Summerlin and wife, Jean, OK; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Visitation: Noon to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, where family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. November 16, 2003 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday November 17, 2003 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare Memorial: Memorials may be directed to Wanda's family.
